I am a PhD student in Petr Znamenskiy’s lab at the Francis Crick Institute. I am also affliated with the Dept. of Epilepsy at UCL under Dimitri Kullmann. Broadly, I am interested in how neuronal circuits differ between health and disease. My PhD research is focused on studying the changes in connectomics of the locus in focal cortical dysplasia. I will probe the local and long range connections that potentially influence the epilepsy phenotype observed in this disease.

I completed my master’s advised by Dr. Jana Kainerstorfer at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh where I explored the changes to neurovascular coupling as a result of increased intra-cranial pressure in mice. Following that, I worked on exploring the role of SMARCA4 in neuroendocrine small cell lung cancer at Dr. Charles Rudin’s lab at MSKCC, NY for nearly 3 years.

Outside of lab, I am interested in theatre, football, and binging fantasy novels.
